Women Development Organization and Arab Organization for Agricultural Development Signed a Joint MoU to Empower Women in Agriculture

The Women Development Organization, WDO, and the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, AOAD, signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, to collaborate on the empowerment of women in the agricultural field across the Arab region and OIC member states. This strategic partnership - signed by H.E. Dr Afnan Alshuaiby, Executive Director of WDO, and H.E. Prof. Ibraheem Al Dukharii, Director-General of AOAD, harnesses the comparative advantage of mandates between the two organizations and their common goals in bringing forth effective change to the lives of women in agriculture.

This is being envisioned through active collaboration to raise awareness about the opportunities and challenges women face in agriculture, including lack of access to resources, education and economic opportunities, the Women Development Organization and the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development will work together to contribute to socio-economic development through women empowerment in the agricultural sector.
