The two sides discussed the aspects of cooperation between WDO and the Union, in the context of their role as specialized organs within the framework of the OIC, in addition to signing a memorandum of understanding and opening permanent channels of communication between the two sides, in order to strengthen frameworks of cooperation and joint coordination, and to serve women's issues in OIC’s member states.
At the conclusion of the meeting, H.E Mr. Muhammad Al-Yami presented the Shield of the Union to H.E Dr. Afnan Al-Shuaiby in appreciation of her role and activity in empowering the role of women in the countries of the Islamic and Arab world.
