Jeddah, November 7th, 2023 – H.E. Dr. Afnan Alshuaiby, Executive Director of the Women Development Organization (WDO), met Tuesday with the Head of Muslim Women in Gabon and Deputy Mayor of Libreville, Annie Chrystel Limbourg Iwenga.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Women in Islam Conference in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Deputy Mayor highlighted that the Muslim Women in Gabon need the support of WDO as an international expert, touching on the importance of the role of the organization in advocating for the rights of women and girls in society. She also stated that Muslim Women in Gabon based their action plan on WDO’s mandate and plan of action and said that they are looking forward to working with the organization on it.
The two parties agreed that the first technical meeting will be scheduled in the upcoming weeks to initiate cooperation between them.
